Ethical Policy

Producing great food and drinks isn't enough.

We couldn't sleep at night if we thought that LG's Deli was responsible for animal cruelty, hurting the environment or keeping the third world poor. That's why we have our ethical policy to do our best to help those that need it most.

All of our tea, coffee and hot chocolate products are certified Fair Trade. This ensures a fair wage for third world farmers that can help to build their communities and introduce primary education for their children.

All eggs used by LG's Deli are free range. In our opinion this should go without saying and battery eggs should have been banned years ago.

We recycle wherever possible. Recycling facilities for commercial waste is not easy to come by, so we go out of our way to ensure that our waste is separated and sent to the appropriate handlers.

All of our paper is either from recycled paper or from FSC certified sustainable forest paper, preferably unbleached. This even includes our toilet paper. To be honest, this is easy to do, other companies have no excuse for not following this policy.

Our electricity comes from 100% renewable sources with no carbon footprint.

Where possible, we only use fully biodegradable cleaning solutions from natural sources.

We do not knowingly use any Nestle branded products.

But we know we are not perfect. There is still more that we can do.

We are currently trying to source recycled and/or biodegradable packaging for our main meals. Currently, the packaging is recyclable where facilities exist, but we want to do better than that. Biodegradable and recycled packaging is more expensive than our existing packaging, but, with your continued custom, we are hoping to be able to generate a good bulk deal in order to keep costs level.
